I’m a travelin’ man…

We have a mission critical project coming down the pipe at work right now. It’s woth a lot of money and has to be done on a very, VERY tight schedule. It also comes straight down from the CEO of the company, so failure is not an option.
It fell in my lap.

So I’ve been going crazy nuts trying to get it all together: purchasing software, servers, figuring out the network configuration, etc.. No pressure here.

This also involves a trip to Boston to get it all set up. It looks like I’ll be flying out later this month. The cool part of this is: I may be there durring St. Patrick’s day (March 17th). Boston is about the most Irish city in the USA, so that could be very fun!

I also plan on taking a tour of a brewery while I’m there. Most likely I’ll hit the Boston Beer Company (makers of Samuel Adams) because I like their beer and it’s only 4 miles from the site I’ll be working at. With a little luck, I’ll have some free time when they offer tours.

Hopefully, I’ll have my schedule figured out by the end of the week.

UPDATE

After speaking with my manager this morning, if this project does indeed get approved (we’ll find out tomorrow), I’ll be in Boston on the 13th and return on 21st.

w00t!!
