16 cold stony steps toward the grave

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

It also happens to be my 16th wedding anniversary.

Our first date was on November 6, 1987 (yes… I remember these kinds of things :-)). I had attempted to ask her out on 3 other occasions (apparently I wasn’t quite clear, as she didn’t realize I was asking her out). Finally, someone else clued her in and the we finally went on a date.

Our first date was pretty simple. We stopped and grabbed a bite to eat and then went to C.J. Timothy’s Comedy Underground (which is now called O’Dority’s Irish Pub, and doesn’t do comedy shows any more). A good time was had and we continued to date for a few years.

Finally, we tied the knot on May 5, 1990.

So… HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Angie!! Lets hit the Outback Steakhouse and eat large slabs of dead cow and wash it down with cold pints of Fosters (Oi! We’ll bog in and hit the turps!)

🙂

Happy Anniversary you too! Wow, we just had our 4th – I can’t imagine 16 at this point! Your dinner plans sound yummy though. We’re still trying to find a night that will work for us to do dinner. Kinda hard with a 2-year old. How on earth did you do it when your boys were little ones?

Heh… we didn’t do much when they were that young.

Of course, it helped that we were poor beyond poor… less drive to actually go out and do something when you can’t afford it.

Congrats … To celibrate our 30th .. I had to beg for my dream gift of a 23 Spline / 25 tooth / Main Input, drive gear shaft for a 1972 big block, Plymouth Roadrunner…. It was a surprising romantic gift… Best part is that my wife REALLY wanted the thing as much as I did…
