An amazing game!

Arena football is an amazing thing.

I went for the first time last night to watch the Spokane Shock take on the Albany Conquest. The Shock were trailing by 10 for most of the game. Then… in the last quarter, they reversed it and won by 3 points at 49 – 46.

It was completely insane in the Arena.

I’ve never been anyplace so loud. People screaming at the top of their lungs, music blasting, the lights. It was serious sensory overload.

I took a few pictures of the game, click “more” to see them.

Coin Toss The coin toss was done by a guy in a tomato suit. Dont ask me why.

Getting the ball into play The line

The field is small The play

touchdown! Touchdown!!!!!

wft? One of the weird things that was going on durring the game: Two guys had to beat each other with huge boxing gloves.

wtf (part 2) pwned!!!

more field action The kickoff for the final quarter.

And now… the real reason men go to Arena Football…. the Dancers!!

This is why we go to football games The Shock Dancers doing their thing

oh yeah A close-up (well… as close as my zoom lens would do)

w00t!! Take me, corn fed… make me your love slave!!!!

Oh yeah… I’m buying tickes for the next game (July 8th)!

You’re scaring me Tone, I never thought you would become a sports fan. Of course maybe you just go for the beer and the cheerleaders. Slightly off topic, hoopfest was great this weekend. We went 2-2 and had a lot of fun, drank lots of water and gatorade.

Baldy… I’ll bring the oxygen bottles and some tissues (for the bloody noses).

Actually, those are pretty much the same seats we had last time… except more center on the field. They’ll do just fine.
