Tone Parsons

Twenty

Twenty years, and still going strong!

Twenty years ago, I had finally convinced this cute young girl I was working with to go on a date with me.

Of course the first 3 times I had asked her out, she had shot me down. But I kept at it, hoping that she’d eventually say yes. She finally did!

We met up around 6:30 and went out for a bite to eat (I learned that night that she hates green peppers) and then went to C. J. Timothy’s Comedy Underground. The comic was so funny that I nearly spit beer on her at one point.

Thank you, love, for sticking with me for the past two decades! I love you more than you could know!

Yes, we were married on May 5th, 1990…. but today is the 20th anniversary of our first date (November 6, 1987).

Ok… I’m not very manly for remembering such things, but I do, so deal. 🙂
