I’m not dead, just floating

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve not had much to say, nor have I much felt like going online.

Every day is pretty much the same around Casa de Tone. I wake up in the morning, take my drugs, fall asleep for a few hours, wake again, take more drugs, fall asleep again, wake a third time, take drugs….. you get the idea. Not very exciting or conductive toward finding content to post.

Today, however, there is something worthy of mention. My eldest son finally got a job! He starts today at the local Sonic, so if you go there for a burger… he could well be the kid making it. They’re pretty cool about his going to college and are more than willing to work his schedule around that. While he’s only getting paid minimum wage, I believe that’s $8.07 an hour… which should be stupid amounts of money for him! (my first job paid $1.25 an hour… how times have changed!!)

As for my back… I’m all scheduled to have surgery on the 20th of this month at 8:00am. Oh man… I’m soooo looking forward to that <insert sarcasm here>. With a little luck, it will help with the pain and get me off the narcotics and back to work (where I desperately want to be!).

I’d post more, but the narcotics are kicking in and I’m getting that fuzzy, sleepy feeling all over my body.

  1. I hope the surgery goes well for you. I know how tough it is not working. All those years you can’t wait to stop & when you do, even for a few months, you can’t wait to get back to it. I saw my Dr. last week, he said everything is going good. Then, like the groundhog, he saw my shadow & BAM 6 more weeks of rehab. Good luck & get well soon.
