Several days and not a post

There’s a lot going on out there right now. Oh, the number of things I could post on.

Unfortunately, I’m totally un-motivated, so you’ll be spared all of it for now.

Instead, I leave you with this haiku:

Dick really scares me
Shooting his friends in the face
Is what he calls fun

Be vewwy quiet... I'm hunting Wawyers!

Valentines Day, a preemptive strike

Valentines day is coming and I thougt I was prepared.

I went to the jewlery store, looked at what they had, and made a decision: 1/2 carrot (total weight) diamond solitare earings in white gold.

They’re very shiny and sparkly and stuff, and I knew she’d love them. Unfortunately, I’m a complete doof and couldn’t wait to see her open them, so I gave them to her last night.

Crap…. now I have to buy something else for Valentines day.

Diamonds are forever (at least you pay for them that long!)

Perhaps they are a little too effective

Between my two blogs, I’ve not gotten one spam posting in the past 24 hours. This is good.

Even better, it doesn’t appear to have made any difference to anyone who’s posted a real comment. This is great!

Unfortunately, I wanted to see what Spam-Karma2 would do, but it appears that the other plugin (bad-behavior) is killing them before Spam-Karma2 gets a crack at them.

So… I turned bad-behavior off.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but hopefully I get spammed today. I really want to see Spam-Karma2 do its magic.

I’ve also added in another little nugget of joy. It’s a little plugin that auto-closes comments after X number of days. So, now you get 3 whole weeks after a post is made to deliver your two cents. After that, it’s old news and no one cares… so get with the program and be heard now!

It’s a piggy 3-way!

As anyone who knows me knows, I’m the cook in the house.

I make 99% of the meals we consume, and trying to come up with new ideas for dinner can be a challenge after a while (I also do dishes, laundry, and vaccume… but back of, ladies, I’m taken! :-))

Last night, I did just that!

Pork medallions: lightly seasoned and stuffed with mild Italian bulk sausage and then wrapped with bacon. Grill for 30 minutes on the bbq, and serve with red beans and rice with a salad on the side.

OMG! That was damn tasty. Even the kids liked it.

Tomorrow on Cooking Tips with Tone: home made tuna fish and meatball calzones! (or not!)
